Nica Sheridan Taggart Ambrose Taggart Ickovic (S.T.A.T.Ic.) craves action and change, which leaves her life as stable as old dynamite. She appoints herself a new career as private detective and lands a case that propels her into adventures beyond imagining – and she’s got a crazy imagination.
Turns out the universe consists of endless simultaneous dimensions called Frames, where buildings and lawn chairs can be sentient, a stray cat has great powers, books can be killers, and clouds can be spies. There is danger everywhere in the Frames, but also a mind-boggling expansion of reality. Nica feels challenged, engrossed, and strangely at home.
Ultimately, Frames will be a trio of speculative detective novels plus 2-3 novellas. Two novels and one novella are available now.
Nica of Los Angeles
At home, Nica tackles missing person cases, while in the larger reality of the Frames she joins a band of allies that includes structures, landforms, and creatures. They must stop Warty Sebaceous Cysts from freeing Maelstrom, who would spread cruelty and horror throughout the Frames.

Nica of the New Yorks
Now that Nica has a taste for life in the Frames, she can’t wait to get back to work with the allies in the fight against Maelstrom. Being Nica, she applies her detective skills to solve problems she hasn’t been asked or permitted to tackle. Meanwhile, the universe prepares for war.

Boredom Fighter
The allies are off fighting battles in the far Frames, which are too remote for Nica to visit safely. Left on her own, out of the action, she takes work as a private detective. Her latest case involves a husband who may be philandering in a Frame where cheaters must die.
