Saw a statistic today about how rapidly brick and mortar bookstores are dwindling in numbers. I confess that overall nowadays, I prefer reading a screen to reading a page. But I would hate it if there were no bookstores. Wandering among books is such a great pleasure.
I think printed books will turn out to be like vinyl records. Simply too good to go away.
Oh, I hope you’re right! My dilemma, since getting the Kindle Fire about a year ago, has been whether or not to re-buy my favorite books in the e-version. I haven’t, yet, but I’m tempted every single time I look in the Kindle store.

In the book I’m currently reading (on the Kindle, no less), alien technology allows for books to be taken in pill form. Gulp, gulp, and you’ve the knowledge imprinted in your brain for all time. Sounds awful, huh?
